The Nethersole School of Nursing, formerly the Department of Nursing, was established under the Faculty of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1991. The School is internationally recognised for its high quality undergraduate and postgraduate education in nursing and gerontology, innovative research and clinical practice. Through maintaining strong connections with mainland and overseas universities, undertaking collaborative projects with community and healthcare partners, and organising international conferences and symposiums, the School contributes significantly to the promotion of global health and the development of the nursing and aged care professions. 

According to QS World University Rankings 2021 – Nursing, the School ranks No. 1 in Hong Kong, No. 1 in Asia, and No. 22 in the world.
